Finding a place for an inexpensive, quiet breakfast isn't easy, especially if you want a spot with tables large enough to hold an unfolded newspaper. One such place is Mykonos Gyro and Cafe where the tall windows allow abundant sunlight and where colorful Greek murals adorn the walls. It's packed at lunch, but plenty of seats are available at breakfast.

The menu lists five different three-egg omelets, all priced under $5, including the Mykonos with feta cheese and spinach, and a gyro omelet. The most expensive item is steak and eggs, $5.25. Breakfast sandwiches, french toast, pancakes and the usual sides of bacon, ham, sausage and hashbrowns round out the menu. No wonder police officers love the place.
