Brett Favre's Steakhouse Bio

Three seasons in a row NFL MVP.

BRETT FAVRE

Brett Lorenzo Favre was born October 10th, 1969 in Gulfport, Mississippi and grew up in the small town of Kiln, Mississippi (pronounced KILL). Nicknamed "Country", Brett accomplished many goals early, earning five letters in baseball and three in football at Hancock North Central High School. His high school football jersey number (number 10) was retired in 1993 along with the jersey (number 4) he wore as a quarterback for Southern Mississippi throughout his college career. In college, Brett excelled in leading his team to 29 victories in four seasons and being named MVP in the annual East-West Shrine game and the All-American Bowl at the end of his senior year.

Brett was drafted in the second round by the Atlanta Falcons in 1991 and played in only two regular season games for the team. In 1992, he was acquired by the Green Bay Packers in exchange for a first round draft choice. Taking over for an injured Don Majkowski the third game into the season, Brett led the Packers to a thrilling, come-from-behind victory over the Cincinnati Bengals and entrenched himself as the "Leader of the Pack" from that game forward. Brett is now among the elite of NFL quarterbacks, having been named MVP three seasons in a row and leading the Packers to victory in Super Bowl XXXI, Green Bay's first world championship since Super Bowl II twenty-nine years earlier.

"Country" brings his unique blend of attitude, excellence and performance in leading the service and meal preparation team here at Brett Favre's Steakhouse. In our eyes, You are the MVP and we take pride in making sure that your visit with us is as memorable as a world championship. If there is anything we can do to make your experience more enjoyable, please do not hesitate to ask!
