Q: What are gift certificates from FoodSpot.com?
A: We are the exclusive gift certificate store on the Internet for 100's of local area restaurants, all at one convenient shopping location.

Q: Can I shop for gift certificates from restaurants located in a specific area?
A: You have the ability to search for restaurants by City and Dining Style. This will help to narrow down your search for a specific restaurant.
Q: How long will my gift certificate(s) be valid?
A: The validation policy is specific to each individual restaurant. The expiration dates are generally one year from the date of purchase.
Q: How much does it cost to send gift certificates?
A: Standard USPS Delivery (2-8 days) $3.95
Priority USPS Mail (2-3 days) $6.95
Express Mail or FedEx (Overnight Delivery) $17.95
Q: How will my gift certificate(s) be packaged?
A: We realize that the presentation of a gift is almost as important as the gift itself. Each gift certificate is sent in a classic envelope and will include your personal message up to 30 words.
Q: Can I place an order if my billing address is outside the United States?
A: Currently, we cannot accept an order if the billing address on your credit card is outside the United States. If you live abroad but have U.S. billing address, we can process your order.
Q: Can I have an order shipped outside the United States?
A: Currently, we do not ship outside the United States.
Q: What are my payment options?
A: We accept Visa, MasterCard, Discover, American Express, Check and Money Orders. We give you the option of submitting your credit card information online, via fax (262) 522-8405 or by phone (262) 522-8400. For payment by check or money order, see Q: How do I pay by check or money order?
Q: How do I pay by check or money order?
A: Go ahead and order as you normally would. When you get to the "Choose Payment Method" section, choose the "Order by Fax" option. You will then go to a page where you can print out an order form. Print this out and mail it in with your check or money order. Your order will be processed when we receive the check or money order. Please include your order ID number on your check or money order. You will receive an automatic order confirmation via email when we receive your payment.
Q: I don't want to give my credit card number over the internet, but I still want to pay with my Credit Card. How do I order?
A: You can select the "Order by FAX" method without credit card information and then send your order to a printer. You can review the order, write in your credit card information and FAX it to us at (262) 522-8405. Or you can place the order by phone at (262) 522-8400.
Q: Can I give you my credit card number over email?
A: No, please never put your credit card details over email as email is not a secure form of communication for such information. Instead, please use our Secure "Order On-line" Internet connection, or fax in your credit card details, or call in your credit card number.
Q: I have an ATM card with a MasterCard or Visa symbol on it. Can I use that?
A: You can. However, there are a few differences between using a credit card and using a ATM check card. When you use the ATM check card the money is taken from the account immediately, whereas with a credit card the funds are held but not taken until the certificate(s) are shipped. If the order is canceled and a refund is sent back to the check card, the funds are not usually immediately released. This policy varies from bank to bank. Some banks hold the refunded funds for up to 30 days before releasing it back into your bank account.

Q: Do you take the funds immediately, or do you wait until the package is shipped?
A: That depends on whether you are paying with a credit card or a check/ money order. When you pay with a credit card we wait until the certificate(s) actually ships out before we take the funds. When you place an order using a credit card, we go in and pre-authorize the funds. This verifies that the funds for the order are available for use, and holds them until we either ship out the order or cancel the order. When the certificate(s) ships out, we then post authorize the funds which transfers the funds from your account to ours. If the order is canceled before it ships out, the funds are released back into your account without ever charging you. If you are paying with a check, money order or check card, we do go and take the funds first. If an order was not shipped or you canceled your order within the specified terms, you will be issued a refund.

Q: What does FoodSpot.com do to ensure the security of my credit card information?
A: We are committed to doing everything possible to make you feel safe and secure while shopping at our Web site. Our secure Web server provides 128-bit encryption for all your credit card and personal information. For further information about our security measures click here.
Q: Does FoodSpot.com charge sales tax?
A: We do not collect sales tax on any orders shipped to residents in the United States.
Q: Can I track my order or check the status?
A: In the event your order fails to arrive by the appropriate date, contact our customer service department at (262) 522-8400 or contact us online. If Priority or Express shipping method was used, We will be happy to trace the shipment for you. Tracking is unavailable with Standard Shipping. If your shipping method was by Standard Mail, please allow up to 14 days for a gift certificate to reach its destination before inquiring about the order.
Q: If a gift certificate is lost or stolen after I receive it, can anything be done?
A: Because gift certificates are considered as, and treated like, cash by our restaurant merchants, we are unable to replace them if they have been lost or stolen after being received.
Q: Why must I put in my email address?
A: We use email to communicate with you the details
of your order. You are sent an order confirmation via email.
We also use email to contact you if there are any problems with your order.
We will never sell any of your information to a third party.
We know how important your privacy is, and we will continue with our policy

Order Status Questions
Q: Can I change or cancel my order after it has been placed?
A: Generally, orders are filled and shipped within
a few hours of receipt. If you contact FoodSpot.com via phone
(262) 522-8400, fax (262) 522-8405 or online
prior to the order being shipped, we will be happy to change
any necessary information or cancel the order.
Q: I lost my order number what should I do?
A: Don't worry. All you have to do is contact Customer
Service and give us your name, who the order is being
shipped to, and approximately when you placed the order. We
can then search our database and email you back your order
number.
Shipping Questions
Q: What are my shipping options?
A: We give you the choice of sending your gift certificates via:
Standard USPS Delivery (2-8 days)
Priority USPS Mail (2-3 days)
Express Mail or FedEx (Overnight Delivery)
If
you purchase more than $50 in gift certificates, it is highly
recommended for tracking purposes that you select either Priority
or Express Mail Delivery.
Q: When will my order be shipped?
A: Orders are shipped within the next business day of receiving payment authorization.
Q: How long does it take for the Gift Certificate(s) to arrive?
A: This will depend on the shipping method you chose.
Standard mail usually takes 2-8 days, Priority Mail 2-3 days,
and Express Mail is an overnight (1 day) service.
Q: My Gift Certificate(s) still has not shown up. Now what?
A: First, make sure that the maximum time for shipping
has passed to make sure that it is not still on the way. If
you chose a tracking method, Priority or Express Mail, contact
Customer Service and we will track the package for you.
Q: My package is not insured, and I think it is lost. Can you send a replacement?
A: Our policy is that we do not cover or credit back
for lost uninsured packages. We recommend that you use an
insurable method of shipping, especially with orders valued
at $100 or more.
Returns Questions
Q: Do you accept returns?
A: A Gift Certificate can be returned for exchange within 90 days of purchase only if the original restaurant is no longer in business. This is our guarantee to you! See our 90 day guarantee policy.
Q: I want to make a return. What do I do?
A: All you have to do is email us at customerservice@FoodSpot.com
and include your order number, the item that you are returning, and reason for the return. We will contact you once we receive this information. Please refer to our 90 day guarantee policy.
Please note: Your shopping cart will be emptied if you leave the FoodSpot.com Gift Certificate site. Each time you enter FoodSpot.com's Gift site you are issued a new temporary shopping cart number.
Place your bookmarks on the entry page ONLY. Bookmarks set on inside pages keep your old temporary shopping cart number which prevents you from placing more than one item in your shopping cart.
