More Info: Welcome to Nanakusa Japanese Restaurant. Nanakusa means seven herbs in Japanese. It is also the name of a dish that is prepared in January when the seven herbs first become available, and is seen as promoting good health. It is our desire to provide our guests with the freshest ingredients of the highest quality, presented in the artful way that the Japanese are known for. For those of you who are new to the cuisine, our knowledgeable staff is ready to answer your questions. For those who are already familiar with Japanese food, we hope our extensive menu will provide you with some new experiences.

Directions:
Conveniently located close to all downtown events in the historic Third Ward.
Take I-794 to Jackson Street and go south 2 blocks to Chicago Street. Turn right and continue 1-1/2 blocks, you'll find us on your right.
Plenty of street parking is available close to our building, and the Milwaukee Street ramp is also a convenient parking option.

Nanakusa offers a fun yet posh family-friendly atmosphere and the best sushi my husband & I have had anywhere in the U.S.! The owner and his wife, Richard and Yoko, are very gracious and the staff is truly fabulous. I give Nanakusa 5 stars!

This restaurant has the best food around. It also has an array of fresh sushi items to choose from. I have been all over the country for sushi and this place in definetly one of the best. The staff is extremely knowledgeable and friendly as well.
