A Polish restaurant with one of the best Friday fish fries in town, Polonez's chef and co-owner (with wife Aleksandra) George Burzynski was named a "chef to watch" by restaurant critic Ann Christenson in Milwaukee Magazine's Best Dining issue in 2003. His recipes for pierogies, stuffed cabbage, and creamed herring came with him from the old country, which he left in 1980.

Rave Reviews - post a rave review!

Outstanding! I brought my 6th bus trip to Polonez and there is no better menu, cuisine, quality or hospitality as the Polonez! I have only heard 5 star reviews from everyone that comes. Thanks George and Aleksandra for your gifts to our community.

I love your reaturant and food! I have been coming for Polish food since you had been on 6th and Lincoln.....The Polish plate is my favorite...also at Polishfest, you are the only booth that I will eat at..your booth has the longest lines...

Thank you Aleksandra & George, our party of 8 really enjoyed lunch today. The plates were all emptied and the food was, once again, wonderful. The Dill Pickle soup was outstanding and the big hit was the Bigos served family style. See you soon.

What a wonderful surprise. Stopped for takeout and drooled all the way home from the great smells. The meals were wonderful. Cooked perfectly with quality ingredients. I'll be back.

Mother's Day Buffet was great!! Food, service, and atmophere was awesome. Being of Polish decent, this was the place to go. 7 people in our group and everyone was very happy. Will definately go back. Need more room to really tell everyone.

I grew up eating German, Serbian, Slovenian, Hungarian, Donauschwabian, and Polish cuisine. Polonez is the real thing. REAL Polish food cooked from scratch, and served to you by real Polish Chefs and wait staff. Polenez is like visiting Poland! MMMM!

We have traveled in Europe and throughout the US and Canada. We have dined in hundreds of Fine restaurants. We rank the Polonez at the very top of any reataurant that we have visited. Its cuisine, "old world" charm and elegance is unsurpassed.

If you want a terrific Polish buffet, this is your place. Polish music, deviled eggs, 5 star Polish sausage, crepes...Friday fish fry is fantastic (a side of Polish sausage is a must.) It reminds me of being in my grandmother's house

Absolutely the best polish food I've ever had including places in Syracuse and Buffalo NY. So good we've recommended it several times to people visiting Milwaukee and stopped on way to airport to bring home take-out orders.

The Czarnia is the best. Pierogi's are very enjoyable. You are welcomed just like you are entering their Home. Friendlyness plus good food leaves you with wanting more. So you come back
