A big hearty congrats to our winner Susan H. of New Berlin, Wisconsin for being selected in our 2006 Mother's Day Favorite Recipe contest. Follow her recipe for a tasty treat!

 

Banana Split Torte

Ingredients:

1 Large Can Crushed Pineapple
2 Cups Graham Cracker Crumbs
3 Sticks Margarine OR Butter
2 Cups Powered Sugar
1 Tbsp Vanilla
2 Bars Hershey’s Chocolate, Shaved
4 Bananas, Sliced
2 Eggs
Candied Cherries, sliced
Cool Whip
Pecans or Walnuts, crushed

Instructions:

Melt 1 stick of Butter or Margarine and add to Graham Cracker Crumbs.
Cool in refrigerator for 15 – 20 minutes.
Beat on high speed for 15 minutes, 2 sticks Butter or Margarine, 2 Eggs 2 cups Powered Sugar, and Vanilla.
Spread Graham Cracker mixture into 9 x 12 pan.
Spread filling over Graham Cracker mixture.
Lay Banana slices over filling.
Spread Cool Whip over Bananas.
Sprinkle with crushed Nuts.
Top with Cherries and Chocolate.
Refrigerate for 1 hour before serving.
