Opening in May of 1989, the Wooden Nickel Sports Bar & Grill was the first of it's kind in Appleton. Now seventeen years later it's still one of the best in the state. Owners Tony and Debby Mueller credit their years of success to their knowledgeable and friendly staff. With an average of six games showing at any given time our bartenders can serve you a frosty mug of beer, take your order for a charbroiled burger, let you know who has the pole for the nascar race and how many yards your running back has in fantasy football. If your not there for sports and just stopped in for the homemade jumbo mozzarella sticks and a bloody mary, our bartenders will be happy to get you a NTN Trivia box. You'll find the Wooden Nickel open seven days a week from 11 a.m. till 2 a.m. with the grill closing at midnight.
